The most liveable city in the world

I wrote back in December in this post about how Copenhagen had fared in a couple of polls about good places to live, and Monocle magazine has just unveiled their annual poll of the most liveable cities on the planet, where they judged Copenhagen to be number 1.

You can read a bit about the background of the poll in the Monocle magazine’s editor’s column in the Financial Times. Sure, it’s a little pretentious, but if I had his lifestyle I’d probably struggle not to boast a bit too.

Monocle have also made a video report, which is very lovely to watch, especially if you live in Copenhagen. It made me swell with pride. And want to sit on the banks of a canal with friends in the evening sun, something which I clearly don’t do as often as other Copenhageners. Though I did do it recently and took the picture below.
