The Museum of Copenhagen

The Museum of Copenhagen is only a few minutes from where I live, but it took me a long time to get to visit it. The impetus was in fact when my Mum visited just before Christmas – she’s a huge fan of afternoon tea, and we knew that there was a branch of Tante T, so we went to check it out.

See for yourself in the pictures below, but there are two things about the Museum that I especially loved.

The tea room itself, with its palms and sofas, so it felt like stepping back in time to a Victorian tea salon.

And they had Ben Webster’s leather hat! He’s a hero of mine, as mentioned here in my piece on American jazz musicians in Copenhagen.
